Financing Options for Studying in USA



After reading our Cost of Education in the US, you must be worried about how to finance your education in the US. We understand that many international students do not have that kind of money to spend on education.

In this section we try give you an idea of the various different resources that are available for financing your education in the US.

Please note that typically international students use a combination of these resources to fund their education.

  • Personal funds: These are the funds from your savings such as from your earnings.
  • Family funds: These are funds from your parents, brothers, sisters, or from your other family members. Your family who will fund your education will have to sign a document that indicates his/her intention to provide certain amount of money for your education. Usually the document is provided by each university, and you can always find it in your application package. After signing the document, your family will be held responsible for your educational spending here. Please refer our Declaration of Finance section for more information.
